Updates

Over the years, we have clearly identified over 230 individual sharks from their tags, photographic profiling, and the recognition of their distinctive markings. Some of these sharks, we see once and then never recognize them ever again, whilst others revisit the islands year after year, or re-appearing after not being identified for a year or so.

The sharks we offer are those who show distinctive marks, or have been star performers on several of our previous dates, preferably spanning more than one year and whom we hope to identify more reliably again in the future seasons from our pictures and video profiling.

Strappy - last seen in mid October 2010, looking very healthy since his strap was removed by Andrew Fox. He will be very easy to spot if he returns this season.

Jonny

Jonny
Jonny
Jonny was last seen in 2009 and was a Fox Expedition favourite, one of the most loyal sharks to the Neptunes we have ever experienced (only paralleed by Moo). He dominates the winter season and we were very disappoimted when he did not show for his 11th season in 2010.

He was last seen in October 2009, he was sporting a big bite around the head, and left the area shortly after this. We are holding out hope that he will turn again this winter season but, if he is not seen this year, we will likely take him off our sponsored shark list.
